Georgia vs Middle Tennessee Kickoff Time Has Been Changed

On Thursday, the University of Georgia announced that its week three game against Middle Tennessee State University will kickoff at noon on Saturday instead of the previously scheduled time of 7:15 p.m.

The game will still be televised on ESPN News.

With Hurricane Florence threatening to rock the East coast, Georgia is just one of many schools to take precautions and either move the kickoff time or reschedule the game altogether.

At this moment, Florence is being slated as a category 2 hurricane with winds expected to reach 80+ MPH on the coast of the Carolinas.

The University of Georgia Athletic Association released a statement:

After extensive evaluation involving the uncertainty of weather conditions on the east coast, and consideration of all constituencies involved including fans, support staff, and law enforcement, the Saturday Georgia-Middle Tennessee State game has been moved from 7:15 p.m. to a 12 noon kickoff in Sanford Stadium.

The game will be televised on ESPN News and will stream live on the ESPN app.
