Missouri Quarterback Drew Lock Praises Bulldog Defense

Missouri Tigers senior quarterback Drew Lock will certainly have gained the respects of many Georgia Bulldogs fans this week after praising the team’s defense.

Lock took time to acknowledge Kirby Smart’s group before this week’s contest between undefeated foes in Columbia, Missouri. His approval, vastly different from those in the eastern Columbia just two weeks ago before the Gamecocks hosted Georgia.

“It’s almost fun” to watch the Bulldogs on film, said Lock, highly impressed with what he sees from the red and black and ready to compete come Saturday.

The Tigers certainly have a high-powered offense, but it will be interesting to see if that “fun” Georgia defense can shut them down.

Missouri was 7-6 last season, led by preseason all-SEC quarterback Lock, a fourth year starter. This season, the Tigers are off to a 3-0 start with big wins over UT Martin and Wyoming. Last week, they beat Purdue 40-37.

Lock currently leads the SEC and ranks sixth in the nation in passing yards, with 1,062 yards so far (354 ypg). His 11 touchdowns ranks tied for fifth in the FBS as well. Lock has only thrown one interception in 113 attempts through the first three games.
