Brett McMurphy Releases College Football Playoff Projections: High Expectations For Georgia

Former ESPN college football insider Brett McMurphy, now with the streaming service Stadium, is one of the most respected reporters in the college football world.

Which is why we are covering McMurphy’s college football playoff predictions, which he released Monday.

Ok, it also might have something to do with him picking Georgia to make it to the semifinals against Clemson in the Cotton Bowl. And maybe something else to do with his projection of an Alabama vs Georgia rematch in the national title game.

The Cotton Bowl, which is played on December 29th in Arlington, Texas from AT&T Stadium, will feature the No. 2 (Clemson) vs No. 3 (Georgia) team.

McMurphy also projects Alabama (No. 1) to face Oklahoma (No. 4) from the Orange Bowl in Miami.

This would be the same four teams as last year’s playoffs, which saw Georgia beat Oklahoma and Bama take down Clemson.

And just like last year, McMurphy expects Georgia and Alabama to meet again in the national title game, this time in Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

What an outcome this would be…
