Georgia Maintains AP Ranking After Missouri Win

The Georgia Bulldogs improved to 4-0 (2-0 SEC) after Saturday’s 43-29 win over the Missouri Tigers (3-1) in Columbia. The media members of the AP Poll felt the Dawgs did enough to maintain their No. 2 ranking

Alabama held onto the No. 1 spot after the Crimson Tide’s  45-23 home victory over Texas A&M. LSU and Oklahoma changed positions as the Tigers moved up to No. 5 after the Sooners struggled in beating unranked Army in overtime. No. 13 Virginia Tech fell out of the rankings after a stunning 49-35 loss to Old Dominion.

Six SEC teams are ranked this week, with Kentucky entering the Top 25 at No. 17 after defeating Mississippi State and Texas A&M dropping out of its loss to Alabama.

Georgia entertains Tennessee next Saturday in Athens. Kickoff is set at 3:30 p.m. ET and CBS will televise the game to a national audience.
