Georgia Football: 3-Star Freshman Having A Breakout Game

Freshman Jordan Davis, a 3-star defensive tackle from Charlotte, N.C., is having quite the first half against Vandy tonight.

Jordan, who has played in three of Georgia’s previous five games this season, has recorded three tackles in the first half, including a momentum-changing, fourth and one stop from the Bulldogs’ 14-yard line.

The 6-foot-6, 330 pound Davis has assisted on six tackles coming into the Vandy game. He committed to Georgia in November but was one of two Bulldog commits not to sign in the early signing period. Rated the nation’s 27th-best defensive tackle as a senior at Mallard Creek High, he was hotly recruited by both North Carolina and N.C. State and offered by Florida, Miami, Florida State and Tennessee, among others.

With his redshirt year burned and his skill set improving each week, look for the big man with the quiet demeanor to continue to see more action for the Dawgs.
