Georgia vs Vanderbilt: Game info, predictions…
Georgia (5-0, 3-0) has not been playing its best football lately as Vanderbilt (3-2, 0-1) comes to town to take on the No. 2 team in the country.
Though the Dawgs have been struggling, they have still been winning, big. Expect that to continue on Saturday and look for Georgia to finally play a complete ball game for the first time in a while, as its time for Georgia to shape up with a game against LSU next week.
Vanderbilt is not a very good team, but does have decent quarterback play from Kyle Shurmur. Smart and defensive coordinator Mel Tucker will have a few tricks up their sleeve and will shut down the senior signal caller. Deandre Baker will take away Vandy’s best receiver Kalijah Lipscomb, who is having a great year and ranked 14th in the nation with 480 receiving yards. UGA will bring some heat Saturday as well and the pass rush, led by D’Andre Walker, will record a couple sacks under the lights.
Prepare for backup quarterback Justin Fields to see some playing time for Georgia. UGA will hit some throws early in the game and after that it will take care of business on the ground. Hardman will have a nice game with some explosive plays and punt returns. Elijah Holyfield will be Georgia’s leading running back and will exceed 100 yards.
Georgia will rest its players in the second half as the Dawgs must be healthy with a brutal schedule looming.
The prediction: Georgia wins 45-3
