UGA Football Injury Report For Vanderbilt Game

No. 2 Georgia (5-0, 3-0) hosts Vanderbilt (3-2, 0-1) today at 7:30 on the SEC Network in a game UGA is favored to win by 27 points.

The Dawgs, however, will have to do so with some banged up players and without some key contributors.

Injury Report

Good to go – Running back D’Andre Swift has been nursing a groin injury but played last week against Tennessee and carried the ball 12 times for 50 yards and had two touchdowns.

Good to go – Wide receiver Terry Godwin, who missed parts of the offseason with a knee injury before hurting his calf at the end of summer, saw his most playing time against Tennessee. With Tyler Simmons still ailing, Godwin should receive increased snaps again this week.

Good to go – Offensive lineman Andrew Thomas was dealing with a sprained ankle suffered during South Carolina. Thomas re-injured the ankle two weeks ago against Missouri, but played the full game against Tennessee. His absence was one of the big reasons why Georgia struggled against Mizzou, and last week Thomas was PFF’s highest ranking tackle, only allowing one QB pressure.

Probable – Tight end Jackson Harris missed the first four games of the season thanks to foot surgery but was playing last week vs the Vols though he did not record a catch.

Probable – Linebacker Monty Rice played last week and recorded 5 tackles after missing the Missouri game due to an MCL sprain. He should be good to go this week.

Questionable – Wide receiver Tyler Simmons is questionable to play after injuring his shoulder two weeks ago against Missouri. He missed last week’s Tennessee game but was available at practice this week. Simmons, who has started each game this season that he’s played in, has been one of the best blocking receivers in the SEC this fall.

Questionable – Punter Marshall Long was in uniform last week for the fist time in years. He has been dealing with a knee injury that has been bothering him for two years now.

Out – Offensive lineman Ben Cleveland is out with a broken fibula that he suffered against Missouri. Cleveland could miss up to six weeks.

Out – Running back Zamir White is out with a torn ACL

Out – Defensive back Divaad Wilson is out with a torn ACL
