Georgia Football Stays Put In Week Seven AP Poll

The Associated Press has released its weekly rankings after yet another great weekend of college football, with the Bulldogs still undefeated. Kirby Smart’s 6-0 team heads into week 7 ranked second in the country yet again, with a top-25 matchup in Baton Rouge creeping up.

Georgia remained at No. 2 in the rankings, while the rest of the top 10 saw a bit of a shakeup. Of course, the Alabama Crimson Tide remain the top team and for good reason, but beneath was some major movement.

Oklahoma exited the top 10 after a loss to Texas.

LSU also dropped from No. 5 to No. 13 after losing to Florida.

Auburn left the top 10 and moved from No. 8 to No. 21 after losing to Mississippi State.

Notre Dame beat Virginia Tech and moved from No. 6 to No. 4.

West Virginia beat Kansas and moved from No. 9 to No. 6.

Washington moved to No. 7 after a win over UCLA.

Texas entered the top 10, checking at No. 9 after beating Oklahoma.

Three of Georgia’s next four opponents lost on Saturday to SEC teams. LSU dropped to No. 13 after a loss to Florida, Auburn dropped to No. 21 after losing to Mississippi State and Kentucky dropped to No. 18 after losing to Texas A&M.

Florida advanced to No. 14 after beating LSU.
