Dropping to 6-1, the Georgia Bulldogs are no longer projected to make the College Football Playoff by a number of outlets. However, there is still plenty of time to climb back into the race.
With Saturday’s loss to LSU, Georgia falls into the New Year’s Six Bowl conversation, for now. Assuming the Dawgs do not win out, they will likely play in a prestigious bowl game, instead of the Playoff. But win out, and Georgia sits where it did last year.
Let’s take a look at some of the latest projections for the Bulldogs, going into week 8.
Kyle Bonagura: Peach Bowl- Georgia vs. NC State
Mitch Sherman: Peach Bowl- Georgia vs. NC State
Jerry Palm: Fiesta Bowl- Georgia vs. UCF
Kerry Miller: Sugar Bowl- Georgia vs. Oklahoma
Eric Single: Sugar Bowl- Georgia vs. Texas
Brad Crawford: Sugar Bowl- Georgia vs. Oklahoma
While the matchups and venues are different, one thing remains constant. Georgia is projected to make a New Year’s Six Bowl.
