Jake Fromm Collects Another SEC Honor

Georgia quarterback Jake Fromm  has been named the SEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week after he led the Bulldogs to a 36-17 thrashing of No. 9 Florida at the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.

The Georgia signal caller shares this week’s honor with Mississippi State quarterback Nick Fitzgerald, who led Mississippi State to a 28-13 victory over No. 16 Texas A&M.

This is Fromm’s first SEC Player of the Week honor. He collected three SEC Freshman of the Week honors in 2017.

The Warner Robins, Georgia sophomore was 17-for-24 for 240 yards and three touchdowns against the Gators. He was 6-7 on the ‘money’ down, including touchdown passes for 16, 12 and 24 yards.

With a berth in SEC Championship game on the line, the No. 6 Bulldogs (7-1, 5-1 SEC) visit Lexington to take on No. 11 Kentucky (7-1, 5-1 SEC) on Saturday.  CBS will televise the matchup at 3:30 p.m. ET.
