Georgia Opens As Underdog To Alabama In SEC Championship

This Saturday, No. 4 Georgia (11-1) will take on No. 1 Alabama (12-0) in the SEC Championship, in what will be a rematch of last year’s national title game.

Alabama has steamrolled every team it has played this season, and Vegas sees this game going in the Tide’s favor as well.

According to the oddsmakers at 5Dimes, Alabama opens as a 10.5 point favorite to take down the Dawgs. In last season’s national championship game, Alabama was a 3.5 favorite.

This is the biggest underdog Georgia has been since 2016, when it hosted No. 8 Auburn.

The SEC Championship Game will kickoff at 4 p.m. ET in Atlanta from Mercedes Bens Stadium on CBS.

The last two times these teams met in Atlanta, it has been two of the greatest games in recent memory. Unfortunately, Georgia lost in both. Hopefully it’s a different story this time around.
