Watch: Former UGA WR Javon Wims Surprises Mom With New Car For The Holidays

Former University of Georgia star wide receiver Javon Wims, now a rookie with the Chicago Bears, is using his NFL money to give back to those who helped him make it here.

On Sunday night, the Jacksonville, Florida native surprised his mother with a new car as an early Christmas gift. And lucky for us, Wims had someone record the moment and then posted it to social media.

“This is the best feeling in the world…Mama thank you for everything you’ve done & taught me. You made miracles out of nothing. The plan is to give you a better world than you gave me…this is just step 1. I hope you enjoy all the speeding tickets you’re about to get in your new car 😂😂😂 love you.” ~Pookie aka JU⚡️CE

Wims came to Georgia as a top JUCO transfer from Hinds Community College in Mississippi. During his final year at Georgia in 2017, Wims had a sensational season, recording 45 catches for 720 yards and 7 touchdowns.

Wims would become a seventh round draft pick by Chicago, where he would then go on to enjoy a great preseason in the summer of 2018. However, since making headlines in the preseason, the rookie is yet to record a catch in the regular season, but I’d expect Wims to find a bigger role in an offense as his career progresses.
