Nick Saban Discusses Alabama and Georgia

Alabama football coach Nick Saban brings the No. 1-ranked Crimson Tide (12-0, 8-0 SEC) back to Atlanta for a rematch of last season’s national championship game against No. 4 Georgia (11-1, 7-1 SEC) and his former defensive coordinator, Kirby Smart.

Saban recognizes the challenge ahead and believes the Bulldogs will be the Crimson Tide’s biggest obstacle to a second consecutive national championship.

“They’ve got some really impressive wins, they’re ranked very highly in a lot of categories and this will be the most challenging game that we have all year,” Saban stated today at his press conference.

Alabama has won each of its games this season by more than 20 points, a first in FBS history. The Tide’s offense averages 49 points a game (2nd in the nation) and their defense yields the the third lowest points allowed, at 13.8 points per game.

Kickoff is set for 4:00 pm in Atlanta’s Mercedes Stadium and is televised on CBS.
