The Georgia men’s basketball team leads UMass 43-32 heading into the half.
Rashaun Hammonds paces the Dawgs with 10 points, followed by Derek Ogbeide with 9. The Hoop Dawgs stormed out to a 10-2 lead and built a twelve point deficit for the Minutemen around the 12:00-minute mark.
However, UMass scrapped their way back into the game with the help of Rashaan Holloway and Luwane Pipkins to cut the lead to five.
Georgia closed the half strong, thanks to Derek Ogbeide and Nicolas Claxton after the UMass run.
The Bulldogs are scoring from just about everywhere, with no particular area dominant in the first half. Both teams are taking advantage of the free throw line though with UMass shooting 5-7 and Georgia 8-9.
Georgia leads 43-32 at the half after a nice little finish. Tyree Crump hit a long three to erupt the crowd before Rayshaun Hammonds swished one of his own.
UMass is struggling from three-point land, going 1-11 in the half. Georgia (5-10) started to heat up before the buzzer sounded.
