Mark Richt Comes To A Decision On Future At Miami

Former Georgia football coach Mark Richt has come to a decision on his future with the Hurricanes.  A Miami alumnus, Richt played quarterback for the ‘Canes from 1979-1982 but looks to be moving on from Coral Gables.

According to several reports, Richt is retiring from coaching and will not be in charge of the Hurricanes next season.

This comes after a disastrous 7-6 2018 season.  The Hurricanes were thought to have been back after making the ACC Championship and Orange Bowl in 2017.

Recruiting has also fallen off the rails in Coral Gables, which might explain Richt’s early departure at the age of 58.  A once hopeful program now seems to be back in decline.

Despite the recent struggles, we wish Richt and his family nothing but the best moving forward.
