The time has come for this year’s national championship in Santa Clara, California. Alabama and Clemson meet for the fourth straight year, this time in the Bay Area.
However, this is the first time that both teams meet as undefeated foes. On top of that, the winner of this game has always had a loss beforehand and donned the ‘visiting team’ uniform against the other.
At least one of those trends will be coming to an end, with both teams having flawless records heading out west. Could we see the lower-seeded Tigers pull off the upset? History tends to say yes but don’t ever count out Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide.
Here’s how our staff thinks the game will go.
Jackson Fryburger– UGAWire.com: Clemson 38, Alabama 35
Joe Vitale- UGAWire.com: Clemson 28, Alabama 24
Will Clarke- UGAWire.com: Alabama 34, Clemson 26
James Morgan- UGAWire.com: Alabama 34, Clemson 27
As you can see, we have a split decision on this year’s edition of Clemson-Alabama. With both teams undefeated, it seems like one of our most difficult picks of the year. However, we all agree the game is sure to be an instant classic.
Enjoy the game and remember, kickoff is only 235 days away for your Georgia Bulldogs!
